Marie Whittaker is an award-winning essayist and author of urban fantasy novels and horror stories. Scales, the first in her Fate and Fire series, debuted in 2013. Her horror novel, The Witcher Chime, was a finalist for the Indie Book Awards in 2017.
She works as assistant to Kevin J. Anderson, is Associate Publisher at WordFire Press, and is Conference Director of Superstars Writing Seminars. A Colorado native, Marie resides in Manitou Springs, where she produces works of multiple genres and renovates her Victorian home. When not writing, she hikes, gardens, and reads on her Porch of Wonder.
