“Skills Day” provides the opportunity for you to spend one day (the day prior to the main seminar) focusing on the skills of writing in intensive sessions led by industry professionals and bestselling authors.
Skills Day is available by itself or as an add-on to the main Seminars.
Kevin J. Anderson takes the crew on a leisurely walk through the beautiful park. The group will gather in the lobby of the venue to carpool over together. If you would like to go but haven’t been in touch with the group yet, please join the conversation in the Facebook Group or message Mia Kleve at mrkleve@msn.com because we need to know in advance how many cars to plan for. We also need volunteer drivers!
Everyone is welcome! Stop by the mixer for hors d’oeuvres and drinks (no-host bar) to meet new Tribe members and catch up with old friends.
These critique sessions provide attendees the opportunity to have their cover copy (the description on the back cover of a novel) critiqued by professional editors in a friendly, casual setting. Cover Copy Parties run concurrent with the First Pages Parties.
This is a fun, free, safe way to experience the art of critique in a verbal format, and receive feedback from new-to-you readers on the important first page of your manuscript.
VIP seating allows you to select a reserved seat in one of the front rows in the main seminar room for the entirety of the conference. This includes Skills Day if you are attending. There are also seats held for VIP seating at the front of all the other classrooms. In addition, VIP seats in the main room have dedicated power outlets for your electronic devices. Plus your “swag bag” will contain special goodies!
This is a unique opportunity to spend time with the amazing James A. Owen, Superstars Founder and bestselling author and illustrator. You’ll share a delicious Eggs Benedict breakfast with a small group of Superstars Tribe members while James regales you with stories, offers sage advice, and inspires you!
Superstars is offering a limited number of appointments during the 2021 seminars. Appointments are available to registered attendees only, and pre-registration is required, but there is no charge for these appointments.Watch your email or the Facebook page to see when the consultation choices are posted. Appointments will be assigned via a lottery drawing.
For twelve years Superstars attendees have learned from SSWS Founders and guest instructors. For our twelvth Superstars, Tribe members will once again take the stage. In a program created to facilitate peer sharing, three alumni were hand-selected to present TribeTalks in 2020. The VIP dinner is a special occasion where SSWS attendees enjoy a gourmet meal in the company of fellow writers. Each table of six attendees is hosted by one of our esteemed faculty members. The intimate setting affords the opportunity for meaningful conversation and connections. The earlier you register, the more likely you are to get your preferred table host.
